Thank you for visiting this page! Catbytes accepts donations of laptops, tablets, and smartphones from the public and corporations. We distribute them to people who are referred to us by organisations that support the local community. We also teach people how to use these devices. Recipients of devices include:

Isolated Individuals People who are isolated and have restricted opportunities to communicate with the outside world (we also support them with learning how to use the device).
Families & Children Families who have children that need to do homework, and have no computer or internet connection to help them with this.
Low Income Support People on low income who need the device to assist them with developing important life skills, such as literacy, job hunting, or access to essential services.

Military-Grade Data Wiping

When your device is refurbished, it is completely wiped using the certified DoD bit wipe protocol to guarantee privacy.

Zero Landfill Environmental Policy

Any devices we can't use are given to a WEEE registered recycling company operating under a strict 95% zero-landfill standard infrastructure.

Donation Drop-off Points

Once you have filled in the form, we will contact you if you need to arrange a time when the device can be delivered. Delivery can be to our office in Crofton Park Library, or one of the drop-off points in the borough. Delivery to our office will mean the device will get to a suitable recipient more quickly.
